The 4-H PEI Annual Awards aim to honor members, volunteer leaders, and 4-H clubs that demonstrate outstanding participation and accomplishments within the 4-H program at the club, regional, provincial, and national levels.

Several awards have been created to celebrate the 4-H PEI Community and those who play a vital role in fostering positive youth development and cultivating better leaders in their communities.

Any member, volunteer leader, or club interested in applying for or nominating someone for an award should thoroughly review the guidelines for each award listed below.

Member Awards

Member Awards provide a wonderful opportunity for leaders and fellow members to acknowledge a 4-H member by nominating them for one of the annual 4-H PEI Member Awards. When considering nominations, reflect on the member's dedication to the 4-H program, their contributions to their club, community, and country, as well as their growth in life skills and leadership capabilities.

  • Nominations Open - October 1, 2026

  • Nominations Closed - November 15, 2026

  • Award Interviews - December 22, 2026 (tentative)

  • Award Presentations - Provincial AGM - February 27, 2027

Top Livestock
4-H Member

Member Eligibility:​​

  • 4-H age (9-21 as of Jan 1 current 4-H year)

  • has not previously received this award

  • is a member in good standing

  • has completed two years in one or more of the Livestock Projects as offered by 4-H PEI.

Charlie Goodwin Memorial

Member Eligibility:​​

  • 4-H age (9-21 as of Jan 1 current 4-H year)

  • has not previously received this award

  • is a member in good standing

  • has completed two years in the Equine Project (any category) as offered by 4-H PEI

Club Awards

Club Awards have been established to recognize and honor the initiatives that clubs undertake in support of community service and agricultural awareness. Annually, the Brookville Lime Community Service Activity Award and the PEI Women's Institute Agriculture Awareness Activity Award are presented to clubs that have shown exceptional commitment to community involvement and the promotion of agricultural education.

The Brookville Lime - Community Service Activity Award is an annual award presented to 4-H PEI clubs showing significant community connections through participation or facilitation of various community events throughout the past 4-H year.​

 

Strong consideration will be given to club-organized events where both members and leaders take an active role in engaging with the broader community

​


Community Service Activities:

​

  • CAN be local, provincial, national or international in scope

  • CAN involve community members as well as 4-H’ers & their families

  • CANNOT be fundraising activities.

Agriculture Awareness

The PEI WI - Ag AwarenessService Activity Award is an annual award presented to 4-H PEI clubs showing significant involvement in the agricultural community and participation in activities focusing on agriculture awareness and the importance of it in our everyday lives.

 

Strong consideration will be given to club-organized events where the focus is on providing learning opportunities for agriculture on the island and beyond!

  • CAN be local, provincial, national or international in scope

  • CAN involve community members as well as 4-H’ers & their families

  • CANNOT be fundraising activities.

Recognition Awards

Recognition Awards are selected and presented annually to honor outstanding volunteers and 4-H members, as acknowledged by the 4-H Community. The nominees and recipients often serve as a key motivators for the success of the 4-H PEI program in their projects, clubs and local community!

The 4-H PEI Leader Recognition Award was established to highlight the importance of our 4-H Leaders and to celebrate a leader who has made a significant contribution to the 4-H program.​

Larsen Memorial

Member Recognition
award

The Larsen Memorial Award was established to recognize the "quiet champions" of the 4-H Program. This award symbolizes the Larsens' passion for life and family, as well as their profound respect for
everything that 4-H embodies. When nominating a 4-H member for this honor, please take the time to acknowledge the "unsung heroes" within your club.​
