Provincial Achievement Day Proposal Timeline

At the 2020 4-H PEI AGM, a proposal was presented that would introduce a Provincial Achievement Day.   Just a few weeks later, Covid struck and with the inability to have groups gather to discuss, the proposal was put on hold.

In early 2021, with so many unknowns, the board once again postponed any decisions.  This would be a significant change to the program, and we wanted to ensure that members, leaders, and families have the ability to talk in person to discuss not just within their clubs but also at Regional and Provincial levels.   At our recent board meeting, the Board of Directors has decided that it is time to have this discussion and move forward with making some decisions.

Below you will find a link that includes the documents related to this presentation (originally supplied to you on a USB at AGM 2020).  The only change to the proposal would be the timeline which I have included a revised version.

The current plan looks like this:

December 2021 – Board has decided that we need to move this proposal forward. Information resent out to Overall Leaders. Discussion at club and Regional levels. Submission of written feedback welcome 

AGM 2022 – Time will be scheduled on the agenda for open discussion and remarks. This will be an opportunity for leaders/members to share their thoughts and views, ask questions, gather additional information to take back to their clubs. 

March –late April 2022 – A period of time for clubs to further discussion and submit additional questions, concerns or positive feedback via written correspondence. Additional discussion can happen at March Regional meetings. FAQ page will continue to be updated over this time 

May 2022 – A special meeting will be called to vote on the final plan of the Provincial Competition proposal.  If approved, it would come in effect January 2023, with the first Provincial Achievement Day September 2023.
